Locals Only Artist Of The Month: THEM

Last year, when Locals Only was coming back on the air, I reached out to Colby Blanton of Rocket Heart Records and asked if he had suggestions for bands to play on the show. He started with West Seattle pop band THEM and their song "Sunset Blvd". I was instantly hooked.

After a string of several very good singles, THEM have now released one of my favorite songs of the year in "Can't Call It Mine". It's a perfect song. Listen to me: IT'S A PERFECT SONG.

It's easy to understand why THEM keep getting invited to play festivals around town like Capitol Hill Block Party where you can see THEM next month. It's also easy to understand why THEM are our Locals Only Artist Of The Month of June and why you'll hear "Can't Call It Mine" on The End all month long.
Learn More about the THEM below:
Seattle-based band, THEM (yes they know about Van Morrison, thanks for asking) is a new all-girl pop-rock band quickly gaining momentum. The group, aging between 18-22, Thompson, Hudson, Ellie, and Maia started in the basement of their local music school but are just getting started on taking over the genre of pop music. In just a few short years since their debut single Bad 4 U (released two years before Olivia Rodrigo ever sang about getting him back) the band has performed at every major Seattle venue and festival including The Paramount Theatre, Capitol Hill Block Party, Bumbershoot Music Festival and atop the Space Needle. Following a string of impressive early singles, THEM returns with Can’t Call it Mine, their first of many releases coming in 2024.
