Weezer’s over here making dreams come true. After a fan caught Rivers Cuomo’s attention with a TikTok video of himself playing the “Buddy Holly” riff for 990 days, the Weezer frontman not only duetted the Wisconsin native’s video, but also asked to perform the song with the band on tour.

Making good on his promise, Evan Marsalli, who plays drums in a band called Diet Lite, joined Weezer on stage for their Indie Rock Roadtrip Tour during their Wednesday night show in Madison, Wisconsin.

After sharing a video of the incredible moment on his band’s Twitter account, Weezer retweeted the post, also writing “After 990 videos and 1 duet @dietlitemusic finally took to the stage to play Buddy Holly last night in Madison, WI!” Check out the clip below.
