Philadelphia FOP Lodge 5 President, John McNesby, joined Rich Zeoli on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT reacting to District Attorney Larry Krasner claiming he never sought the endorsement of the organization for his re-election campaign.
“The FOP does not seek out endorsements or to endorse anyone. If anybody wants an FOP endorsement, they call the FOP. That is exactly what he did. My response was to our people ‘you have zero shot of getting it, why waste your time.’ He said because he wanted to do it.
McNesby continued, “He addressed the membership, he asked for their endorsement, not once not twice but he did it. The vote was taken [and] he didn’t get it.”
“[He] absolutely did seek the FOP endorsement. The man is an outright liar.”
McNesby also called out Kraser for accusing the leadership of the FOP for not holding accountability to police officers.
“Police are like any other occupation. There’s going to be some bad apples and when there are, they’re going to get arrested and so be it. Let the chips fall where they may. We’re not going to be knocking on the District Attorney’s door and asking them to do us a special favor and not arrest somebody or not do their job.”
McNesby concluded, “for him to say that is just irresponsible.”
