Internet Sensation Simon Campbell On Pennsbury School Board Situation
Simon Campbell, former school board member and self-proclaimed “Government’s (Least) Favorite Pain-in-the-Arse,” joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss a moment at the Pennsbury school board meeting last week that went viral. In a meeting, Campbell was involved in an incredibly fiery and moving 5-minute exchange pointing to the lack of freedom of discussion in school boards, particularly around the implementation of critical race theory. Campbell takes us through his time spent on the school board, and tells of a situation in which he was called names. After being called “Margaret Thatcher’s bastard child,” other members on the board wanted to prevent the tape from being posted online. Campbell instead signed a release ensuring the release of the video, completely opposite to behavior we’re seeing now in which board members are looking to silence citizens from expressing their thoughts in public comment periods. Also, Campbell discusses his usage of the Right To Know Act to acquire inside information about the politics and shady behavior of local school boards, and urges listeners to do the same for their local districts.
John McNesby on the Sinking Morale Of Police Officers
John McNesby, President of FOP Lodge 5, Philadelphia’s police union, rejoins the Dom Giordano Program for an update on police officer morale as crime continues to skyrocket in and around Philadelphia. First, McNesby expresses the issues the police face in the media, as local sources jump over one another to cover everything negative about the police but continually refuse to shine the police in any good light. Then, McNesby and Giordano discuss the issue of the Philadelphia police department struggling to fill the ranks, explaining the difficulty that’s become of recruiting police officers. McNesby explains the recruitment strategy that’s been employed, but explains the governmental red tape that makes it even harder to find candidates in an already nearly impossible environment. Also, McNesby and Giordano discuss an incident over the weekend in which police officers saving the life of a shooting victim were shot at near the Temple University campus.
Matt Rooney On The Budding Narcissism Encouraged By The Left
Matt Rooney, regular guest and head of SaveJersey.com, returns to the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the budding narcissism in the younger generations that’s being encouraged by elected officials, such as New Jersey’s governor Phil Murphy. Rooney wrote about a situation in Voorhees, NJ, in which a student used his valedictory speech as an opportunity to make a statement about LGBTQ+ rights. This after multiple instances throughout the country where students put their individualism over the better good, which Rooney labels as narcissism. Also, Giordano and Rooney discuss Gov. Murphy’s decision to leave it up to school districts to determine whether they’ll require masking, and a new ad from the Jack Ciattarelli campaign that shines a light on Murphy’s dangerous decision-making surrounding nursing homes at the beginning of the pandemic.
