Is America The Aggressor in the Ukraine Situation?
Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by offering his opinion on the situation unfolding in Ukraine as Russia begins their invasion, discussing comments made by conservative commentator Candace Owens who suggested that we as Americans are the reason for the aggression by Russia. Then, Giordano discusses a new lawsuit filed by John McNesby and the FOP against the city of Philadelphia looking to reverse lax laws concerning traffic stops. After that, Giordano circles back to Owens’ comments to have a debate with Dan, discussing whether or not Americans are the aggressors in this situation.
Then, Dr. Mehmet Oz returns to the Dom Giordano Program to update the audience on his run for Senate in the state of Pennsylvania. First, Giordano asks Oz for what he’s hearing during town halls that he’s been holding throughout the state. Then, Giordano asks Dr. Oz for his thoughts on Ukraine. Dr. Oz explains his take on the situation, telling that the Biden Administration treatment of energy topics has partially led us to this situation with Ukraine, and ties it back to the importance of the energy industry in the Keystone State. Also, Dr. Oz discusses Coronavirus restrictions in the state of Pennsylvania, and tells why he skipped out on the most recent debate.
John McNesby and the FOP Sue the City over New Restrictions on Traffic Stops
In today’s second hour, FOP Lodge 5 President John McNesby rejoins Dom Giordano to discuss why he and the FOP have filed a lawsuit against the city of Philadelphia over a change in policing to be enacted this week. Previously on the show, McNesby joined to reveal that Philadelphia City Council had approved a bill that would restrict traffic stops by police officers. First, Giordano and McNesby discuss the bill itself, telling the restrictions set on police, with McNesby lamenting that Mayor Kenney continues to call the city unsafe while not only refusing to fix the situation, but also making it harder for police to keep streets safe. McNesby takes us inside the lawsuit, telling what he hopes comes from the suit, and telling why policies like these only further the lawlessness rhetoric in Philadelphia.
Then, John Ondrasik, front man for Five for Fighting, returns to the Dom Giordano Program to discuss his continued effort to raise awareness for our vets, particularly after the shoddy withdrawal from Afghanistan by the Biden Administration. First, Giordano asks Ondrasik about his new series titled “Meet the Heroes,” which tells the stories of our nation’s heroes. Then, Giordano asks Ondrasik about the response to his great protest song “Blood on My Hands,” and the disappointing media reaction compared to protest songs that favor Leftist causes. In addition, Ondrasik announces when he’ll be returning to the Philadelphia region.
Congressman Fitzpatrick Wants Biden Admin. to Show Strength against Russia
To lead off today’s third hour, Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the situation unfolding in Ukraine. Yesterday, Fitzpatrick sent out a press release, writing, “As we have done before with other rogue powers, it is time for the United States to send a clear message: if Russia insists on directly violating the sovereignty of another state and jeopardizing global security, there will be severe and sweeping economic consequences. President Biden’s strategy of restraint and ‘invasion first, sanctions later’ is no longer an effective means of deterring Putin’s aggression and imminent full-scale invasion of Ukraine. No more half-measures. We need to impose immediate, crippling sanctions that strike at the heart of Putin’s corrupt regime and the Russian economy, bring about a permanent end to the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, and remove Russia from the SWIFT international banking and payments system.” Fitzpatrick explains why he feels that this could help bring peace to the region, and tells why economic sanctions are the best way to push back against the Russian invasion.
Then, after playing today’s Money Melody, Dom circles back to the anti-American rhetoric coming from both the Left and the Right, bringing back up a tweet made by Candace Owens that suggests that Americans are at fault for being the aggressors in wars through history. Then, Giordano brings up comments made by a Representative from Arizona centered on the potential truck convoy protesting mandates in the US, who noted that trucks should be seized and given to smaller truck companies.
