Biden 180s On ‘Defunding The Police’ in SOTU Address

Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by recapping yesterday’s State of the Union Address from President Biden. First, though, Giordano takes umbrage with an action from the President from today, where during a scrum, while wearing ashes on his forehead, refused to answer questions about his pro-abortion stance. Then, focusing on the SOTU address, Giordano tells of the portions of the speech that he thinks bear the most importance. First, Giordano hones in on the President’s suggestions to fix the issue of heightened crime throughout the country, changing tone and telling that he and the Democrats are not for ‘defunding the police.’ Then, Giordano takes issue with Biden’s blaming of inflation on Coronavirus, laying out the true reasons why we find ourselves in such economic despair.

Then, Giordano welcomes in New Jersey Assemblyman Jay Webber, representing the 26th district in North Jersey, after making headlines for taking a stand against New Jersey’s woke agenda, with opponents labeling him a racist. In discussing a proposed bill to require implicit bias training, Webber suggested that lawmakers should read the great Martin Luther King’s ‘I Have a Dream Speech,’ noting the detrimental nature of the new push to separate society into racial groups. Webber explains why he said this, further laying forth why implicit bias training is immoral, and tells the negative implications such training has on law enforcement. In addition, Giordano and Webber discuss a new bill being floated around Trenton that would allow residents to pump their own gas.

Details Emerge Surrounding Officer-Involved Shooting of 12 Year Old

In today’s second hour, Dom leads off the Dom Giordano Program by circling back to Joe Biden’s State of the Union, discussing Biden’s take on crime. Then, Producer Dan pops in and tells about a live press conference held by Mayor Jim Kenney and friends addressing the spike in violence in the city, and Dom plays back information around an officer-involved shooting in South Philadelphia of a 12-year old who opened fire on plainclothes officers. Then, Giordano bounces between the two topics, discussing Biden’s SOTU address last night, and the situation that unfolded in South Philadelphia.

Then, Anthony Giordano, founder of Stand Up South Philly, rejoins the Dom Giordano Program to preview an upcoming rally being held today to protest against the potential for safe injection sites in Philadelphia. Last week, news broke that Mayor Kenney was meeting with representatives from Safehouse, the nation’s leading organization in the push for safe injection sites, to potentially rebirth the discussion of a similar site in Philadelphia. Two years ago, Anthony Giordano, along with other Philadelphians, teamed together and through the courts received a decision that such a site would be illegal. Anthony tells the negative impact that such sites have on communities, and tells why he and others are so against such an initiative. The protest will take place in front of the Department of Justice building on Chestnut Street today at 4PM.

Media Grills Philadelphia PD Over Officer-Involved Shooting

In today’s final hour, Giordano welcomes back Pennsylvania State Representative Seth Grove to discuss a new bill he’s put forward to increase natural gas production and distribution throughout Pennsylvania. Grove explains to Giordano the importance of heightening energy production, and addresses the counterargument from environmentalists who are against strengthening fossil fuel production. In addition, Grove and Giordano discuss the implications that such an action would have on national security as Biden continues to accept oil imports from Russia after the invasion of Ukraine.

Then, after spending some time playing back clips from today’s press conference held by Mayor Kenney and police officials addressing crime in Philadelphia, Giordano welcomes in Economist Stephen Moore, a mainstay on Fox News and senior economic contributor at Freedom Works. First, Giordano asks Moore for the reasons that we’re seeing record inflation after Biden approached the issue with confusion during his State of the Union, passing blame primarily on Coronavirus rather than his policies. Then, Moore updates tells of the status of imports and exports as we ramp up for a potential war with Russia over their invasion into Ukraine, and stresses the importance of the energy sector. Also, Giordano and Moore look forward to the midterms, with Moore telling the economic strategy that Republicans must take to make an impact.
