Readin', Writin', and Reason with Dom Giordano | Episode 11

The Unheard Victims of Critical Race Theory

Long-time radio host Dom Giordano, an educator in a past life, returns with his eleventh installment of his podcast centered on the ever-changing landscape of education. This week, Giordano is joined by Asra Nomani, a parent of a student at Thomas Jefferson High School and Technology and the cofounder of ‘Coalition for TJ.’ Nomani is a former Wall Street Journal reporter and the author of Standing Alone: An American Woman’s Struggle for the Soul of Islam. Nomani and her organization have filed a lawsuit against the Fairfax County School Board in Virginia, and the board’s superintendent, due to a policy using the ideology of Critical Race Theory that has helped to bolster a culture of vilification of Asian Americans. Nomani explains in depth, and chronologically explains the situation and what she and her organization have done to push back against the policies enacted by her local school board.
