Dom Giordano, WPHT host and former teacher, has dedicated much of his daily show toward parents who are taking it into their own hands to push back against school boards that have a negative impact on their children. This has culminated in a weekly podcast on education, Readin', Writin', and Reason, which has allowed wonderful relationships to develop between Giordano, educators, and parents throughout the country who are speaking out against overbearing school boards.
First, Dom welcomes Megan Brock, mother and activist out in the Central Bucks School District, back to the Dom Giordano Program after a groundbreaking report in the National Review pointed to her and her cohorts uncovering some critical information concerning Bucks County Coronavirus guidelines. Brock explains that, after a deep dive into the metadata of files, discovered that, after County Health Director Dr. David Damsker put out his guidelines, which were less restrictive than most, their Communications Director stepped in and revised the guidelines to make them more strict. Megan Brock takes Giordano and listeners into the investigation, explaining that the guideline revision is the sole document she found 'produced' by the Health Department that was created by the Communications Director. Brock then explains what seems to have happened since then, with Damsker being silenced after becoming a forefront figure in propagating lesser restrictions for schools during Coronavirus.
Then, Dom welcomes Kathleen Carmody to the Dom Giordano Program. Kathleen is a parent in the Unionsville-Chadds Ford School District, who has been speaking out as the district tries to rewrite Pennsylvania law centered on Coronavirus. In a decision made by the school, administrators decided to strike language from their vaccine exemption guidance as set forth by the State, with parents up in arms over the decision which they argue is both illegal and immoral. Carmody suggests that administrators are looking to infringe on the rights of parents in the district, trying to take something that's a given and instead forcing parents to jump through hoops to access their rights.
