Faygo is bringing new life to classic flavors this spring with two new fizzy creations. One is based on ice cream while the other takes its inspiration from candy shops.
Right now, the flavors are available at Meijer stores throughout Michigan and Faygo said they should soon be available in more places.

Super Pop pays tribute to the “Superman” (no affiliation with DC comics) ice cream flavor with roots tracing back to Prohibition-era Michigan. According to Atlas Obscura, the flavor combinations that make the blue, yellow and red ice cream can vary, but Stroh’s Brewery in Detroit – often credited with creating the treat – used lemon, Red pop strawberry soda and the secretive Blue Moon flavor.
Faygo’s Super Pop is electric blue and has “a vibrant, fruity taste,” said the Detroit-based soda company. It “transports fans straight back to carefree summer days and childhood memories.”
Bubble Pop!, the second flavor, blends classic bubble gum flavor with hints of vanilla and subtle fruit notes “for the ultimate taste of nostalgia,” said Faygo.

Both flavors will be featured at the “Immersive World of Faygo” House of Faygo pop up experience at Bedrock’s, 1001 Woodward Avenue in Detroit from April 4 to April 6. It is free and open to the public.
Attendees will be able to check out an over-the top photo experience and a tasting bar where they can sample the new flavors. They will also be able to get exclusive merchandise and see performances from art and culture collaborations.
“This is one of the biggest launches in Faygo’s 118-year history,” said Dan Trpevski, executive vice president of Faygo Beverages. “We’re proud to introduce these all-new unique flavors, Super Pop and Bubble Pop!, to our lineup of over 50 iconic Faygo varieties,” developed over more than a century of operations.
He said that consumers would probably be surprised by the amount of work that goes into creating new flavors.
“From inception to endless testing, to hitting store shelves – it takes a lot of tasting and teamwork,” Trpevski said. “These new flavors have been a passion project for our team, and we’re excited to feature them at a unique and fun event.”
