It’s a good time to be a Philadelphia sports fan, and Bryce Harper is making sure to enjoy the ride.

And not just with the Phillies.

Philly saw its MLB team reach the World Series in 2022, falling just short against the Astros. A few months later, the Eagles made it to the Super Bowl, ultimately losing to the Chiefs. Despite the unsatisfying end products, the last few months have shown there’s plenty of reason to buy in on the city's teams (well, most of them).

There’s been noticeable camaraderie between the players on the various teams too, with guys showing up at different venues around town to support one another. Appearing on “Jon Marks & Ike Reese,” Harper raved about Jalen Hurts and the Eagles.

“It was great, it was fun to watch (the Eagles run),” Harper said. “Of course, it didn’t happen the way we wanted it to – and I don’t know if that was a hold or not, but, you know, whatever. It was fun to watch, it was cool to see the whole city rally around us and them.

"Jalen is such a stud, man. It’s so fun to watch him play and perform, he’s such a leader out there. They look like they have a fun group just like us. It’s cool to pull for them. Going into different cities and seeing the dynamics, I’ve never seen a dynamic that’s closer to our city with our teams rallying around each other.

"Guys going to games, seeing the basketball players at our games, and us going to Eagles games, Sixers games and Flyers. Getting to know the Flyers guys, Kevin (Hayes) and everybody over there, the Sixers as well, talking to Jalen and A.J. (Brown). It’s just a cool, tight-knit group of people."

The Eagles look built to compete for a long time, thanks in no small part to Hurts. The Phillies similarly have loaded up, and Harper has enjoyed watching Philly teams take turns loading up on talent.

“They’re going to be good for a long time too, man,” Harper said of the Eagles.”They just keep making moves and Howie (Roseman) is doing whatever he wants them to do. It’s kind of funny to see their owner and our owner kind of go at it of like ‘I’ve got this guy, I’ve got this guy.’ It’s good for the fanbase.”
