Jameer Nelson shares emotional moment with his son after Delaware punches NCAA Tourney ticket

Jameer Nelson...junior will be playing in this year's NCAA Tournament.

On Tuesday night, the Jameer Nelson junior and the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens men's basketball team won the Colonial Athletic Association championship, punching their ticket to the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

The former St. Joe's Hawk and NBA point guard shared an emotional moment with his son and his son's mother that went viral.

Nelson junior had 10 points and six boards in the win. The junior guard averaged 13.7 points and 5.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game this season with Delaware.

Nelson senior, of course, was a standout at Chester High School and St. Joe's University, before being the 20th overall pick of the 2004 NBA Draft. He was the national college basketball player of the year in 2004 and his number 14 was retired by St. Joe's.
