After a busy first two days in the NFL Draft, Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles look to put the finishing touches on the 2022 NFL Draft which concludes on Saturday, April 30th at 12 p.m. E.T. with rounds four, five, six, and seven.

The Birds entered Day 3 with just two picks, No. 154 in Round 5 (acquired from Washington last year for a pair of late-round 2021 selections) and No. 237 in the seventh round, acquired from New Orleans in the deal that sent two of Philly's first-rounders to the Saints. That changed once they were on the clock, however, as the Birds sent No. 154 to Jacksonville for overall selections No. 188 and 198, both in the sixth round.

Here is a running tab of the Eagles' Day 3 picks:

Round 6, No. 181 (from Detroit), LB Kyron Johnson, Kansas: The Eagles traded up to grab Johnson, sending away picks 188 and 237. At 6-foot-0, 235 pounds, Johnson was a three-star recruit and was ninth in the FBS last season with four forced fumbles.

His scouting report, via NFL.com: "Johnson's tape as an edge defender in 2021 is better than anything he produced as an inside linebacker, but he likely lacks the traits and tools to stay on the edge in the NFL. He has shown noticeable improvement and consistency handling his business at the point of attack and he has excellent speed to range across the field. However, he lacks the instincts needed to process and play quickly between the tackles. His best shot to make a team is as a backup 4-3 Sam with above-average special teams potential."

Round 6, No. 198: TE Grant Calcaterra, SMU

The Eagles wrapped up their draft by taking a tight end who nearly wrapped up his football career a few short years ago. Calcaterra retired in 2019 due to concussions, and nearly became a firefighter before deciding to give football another try a year later. He responded by logging career highs in receptions and receiving yards last season. Per NFL.com's scouting report, "He plays with good football IQ versus zone coverage but might benefit from more pattern breaks to help him uncover against tight man coverage. He won't make a difference as a blocker so he needs to shine as a pass-catching threat."
