Bink's Chiefs mock draft 2.0

75756A5E-120A-4932-810C-2FD980DB785E

(610 Sports) -- Here is mock 2.0 with all eight selections. Compensatory picks were awarded last week and the Chiefs received an extra 4th rounder for losing Kendall Fuller and Emmanuel Ogbah. The actual order in round 6 hasn't been determined (It was the trade for DeAndre Washington).

With the Chiefs releasing Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz, finding linemen is imperative. Hitting free agency is probably what they will need to do but re-stocking the line should be priority #1.

My Mock Draft 1.0

Chiefs Mock Draft 2.0

Liam Eichenberg

Round 1 - No. 31 - OT Liam Eichenberg, Notre Dame 6'6" 302lbs
Notre Dame has been a lineman factory this past decade and Brian Kelly has had a first-rounder at tackle every year that he has been there. I had Teven Jenkins here in the first mock draft and a good chance he is taken but a bunch of his experience had been at right tackle. Eichenberg is ready to step in as a starter and to me, that is most important for the Chiefs and he is a left tackle. Probably could stand to gain a few more pounds but so did Eric Fisher and that wasn't a problem. Most game film of Eichenberg is good... He did however struggle a bit against Alabama in the playoffs but he was an All-American on most lists and is a guy ready to go.

Plus he didn't allow a sack on 400 plus attempts this year:

Notre Dame Pro Day March 31st

Brevin Jordan

Round 2 - No. 63 - TE Brevin Jordan, Miami 6'3" 245lbs
With Kyle Pitts and Pat Freiermuth off the board, this would give the Chiefs a future TE1. Jordan had 38 catches for 576 yards and 7 touchdowns with a 15.2 avg yards per catch, which were all career highs.

Not only can he stretch the field as a receiving tight end, he can also block which would help out the run game immensely.

He has developed each year, including 11 games as a true frehsman. The Chiefs have shown interest in the tight end:

People might not see the need in tight end but having another TE to go along with Kelce is imperative. The Chiefs like using multiple tight ends and imagine one with the skill set of Brevin Jordan. Look at Kelce's #s to see how much the Chiefs like using the tight end in this offense. Plus, they can run the heck out of 12 personnel ( 1 back and 2 tight ends) and have another pass receiver as tight end. I view the tight end as important as the WR in this offense.

Miami Pro Day March 29th

Jackson Carman

Round 3 - No. 94 - OT Jackson Carman, Clemson 6'5" 335lbs
Protected the blind side of Trevor Lawrence, who will be the #1 pick in this drat. He is also a devastating run blocker and a tough player with the hard-nosed edge you need. Versatile enough to play guard or tackle.

Clemson Pro Day March 11th

D'Wayne Esdridge

Round 4 - No. 136 -WR D'Wayne Eskridge, Western Michigan 5'9" 190lbs
Serious speed and a serious downfield threat. Averaged more than 20 yds per reception his last three years at Western Michigan and a confident individual. Would love to see him with Mahomes and in the receivers room at One Arrowhead Drive. Has a running back background as well and even played some corner in college. He also has a kick return touchdown and his laser timed speed in 2018 was 4.3.

Pro Day March 25th

Wyatt Hubert

Round 4 - No. 144 - DE Wyatt Hubert, Kansas State 6'3" 270lbs (comp pick for losing Kendall Fuller)
Will probably be switching to linebacker in the NFL. I have watched him a ton and the motor this guy has, you just can't teach. Was standing up on the line and thrived when he was. Back-to-back First-Team All-Big 12. 20 sacks and 33 tackles for loss in his 3 years at KSU.

Pro Day Was Held March 9th

Keith Taylor

Round 5 - No. 175 - CB Keith Taylor, Washington 6'2" 191lbs (comp pick for losing Emmanuel Ogbah)
Haven't hit corner but with Breeland and Ward's free agency status, this might be a need. Last year Sneed was a 4th-rounder, so I really trust Veach and input from Spags in this round. Press, man, or zone corner and has played on inside and outside, also a very good run tackler. Elevated himself in Senior Bowl. Won the Earle T. Glant Tough Husky Award.

Pro Day March 30th

Tommy Doyle

Round 5 - No. 181 - OG Tommy Doyle, Miami (OH) 6'8" 326lbs
I have the Chiefs going offensive line again here, with a guy who possesses massive size. Can play both tackles and be like a swing tackle for a team at first. Needs development and not a day 1 starter but the key here is depth, depth, depth. 2-time First-Team All-MAC. In 2019 was the team's co-offensive player of the year, playing on the offensive line.

Pro Day March 29th

Drew Dalman

Round 6 - No. TBD - C Drew Dalman, Stanford 6'3" 300lbs (Acquired from Miami in exchange for RB DeAndre Washington)
Started at guard and center for Stanford, mostly at center. All Pac-12 First Team and don't forget a very pro-style offense at Stanford. According to PFF, he was the highest graded offensive lineman in the Pac-12.

Pro Day March 18th

That is Mock 2.0 with a heavy emphasis on offensive line.
