(670 The Score) First baseman Anthony Rizzo remains out of the Cubs' lineup on Friday afternoon as he continues to suffer from back tightness.

Rizzo has missed the past four games because of the ailment, which caused him to exit early in a loss last Saturday, the last time he played.

Victor Caratini -- who homered twice and drove in all four of the Cubs' runs in a 4-1 win against the Mets on Thursday night -- will start at first base. Third baseman Kris Bryant is also out of the lineup for a day of rest.

Rizzo is expected to be "fine" with rest, manager Joe Maddon has said previously. Rizzo is hitting .290 with 25 homers, 82 RBIs and a .928 OPS in 125 games.

In a roster move Friday, the Cubs activated left-hander Cole Hamels from the paternity list. He didn't miss a start, and he's schedule to take the mound Saturday.

The Cubs host the Brewers at Wrigley Field, with first pitch set for 1:20 p.m. Pregame starts at 12:45 p.m.
