CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- White Sox outfielder Eloy Jiménez has been placed on the 10-day injured list, the team announced Sunday.

Jiménez is dealing with a high right ankle sprain that he suffered Friday night, the White Sox said. Jimenez is expected to be out more than 10 days, with team officials saying he'll be sidelined for two weeks and then re-evaluated at that point. He's hitting .241 with three homers and eight RBIs this season.

The White Sox also placed righty reliever Nate Jones (right elbow inflammation) and right-hander Ryan Burr (A/C joint inflammation) on the injured list.

In corresponding moves, CHicago recalled left-hander Aaron Bummer and right-hander Thyaro Vieira.
