Trubisky will have a light workload in the Bears' offseason program ahead of training camp.
"Our expectation is as we get ramped up in the OTAs and minicamps, he'll be good to go," general manager Ryan Pace said at the NFL Combine on Tuesday.
Trubisky suffered his left shoulder injury in the Bears' win against the Vikings on Sept. 29. He missed only one game but played through the injury for the rest of the regular season.
Trubisky completed 63.2 percent of his passes for 3,138 yards, 17 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 2019, when his 39.5 QBR was 28th out of the 30 qualifying quarterbacks in the NFL.
The Bears believe the injury played only a minor part in his regression.
"I don't think it affected that obviously," Pace said. "But I think when you're talking about running and doing some of those things, I think that's probably a factor."
Bears tight end Trey Burton (hip), receiver Anthony Miller (left shoulder) and linebacker Roquan Smith (pectoral) should all be healthy for training camp after their respective offseason surgeries, Pace said. Defensive lineman Akiem Hicks didn't require surgery on his left elbow.
The Bears hold their first practice of OTAs at Halas Hall on May 28. No date has been set yet for the first practice of training camp.
