BOURBONNAIS, Ill. (670 The Score) -- Bears rookie receiver Riley Ridley left the team's first practice of training camp with a hamstring injury, coach Matt Nagy said Friday evening.

A fourth-round pick of the Bears in April, Ridley walked off under his own power. The injury occurred during the high-tempo "10-10-10" walk-through focused on working through plays. Nagy didn't express much concern over the situation.

"Knock on wood a little bit, but as you go through camp, you'll have those," Nagy said. "Luckily, we have an unbelievable training staff. (Head trainer Andre Tucker) and them will do a great job getting him back."

The 23-year-old Ridley recorded 70 catches for 1,026 yards and 13 touchdowns over 39 games in his career at Georgia. He led the Bulldogs with 44 catches for 570 yards and nine touchdowns in 2019.

Bears veteran long snapper Patrick Scales was excused from practice Friday due to personal reasons. Receiver Anthony Miller and tight end Trey Burton were each present at practice as the team anticipated. Miller had offseason shoulder surgery, and Burton is recovering from a sports hernia.

The Bears return to the practice field Saturday morning, their first session at Olivet Nazarene open to the fans.
