Quenneville, 23, had one goal in 19 games for New Jersey this past season. He also had 39 points (18 goals, 21 assists) in 37 games for the Binghamton Devils of the AHL.
Hayden, 24, had five points (three goals, two assists) in 54 games for Chicago in 2018-'19. He has 22 points in 113 career games across three NHL seasons.
In the second round with the 43rd overall pick, the Blackhawks selected 18-year-old defenseman Alex Vlasic, who played for the U.S. national developmental program. Vlasic has good size at 6-foot-6, 198 pounds and is a Wilmette native.
The Blackhawks had two selections in the fourth round, taking 18-year-old forward Michal Teply at No. 105 overall and 17-year-old forward Antti Saarela at No. 123. Teply played for Benatky N.J. of the Czech Republic-2 League and Liberec of the Czech Republic League as well as Liberec Jr. during the 2018-'19 season. Saarela split the season between Lukko of the Finnish Elite League and their junior team.
Chicago drafted 18-year-old goalie Dominic Basse at No. 167 overall in the sixth round. He played for the South Kent Selects Academy under-18 national program last season.
In the seventh round, the Blackhawks chose 18-year-old defenseman Cole Moberg at No. 194 overall. He played for Prince George of the Western Hockey League this past season, recording 40 points (13 goals, 27 assists) in 61 games.
