(670 The Score) Blackhawks winger Dominik Kubalik has been named one of the three finalists for the Calder Trophy, the NHL announced Wednesday.

Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes and Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar are the other two finalists for the award, which is given annually to "the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition."

The 24-year-old Kubalik amassed 46 points (30 goals, 16 assists) in 68 games this season. His 30 goals led all NHL rookies and made him the fifth rookie in Blackhawks history to reach that milestone. Kubalik also ranked seventh in the entire NHL with a 19.1 shooting percentage.

The Calder Trophy winner will be revealed during the conference finals, with the exact date, format and time to be determined.
