(670 The Score) The Blackhawks were tracking toward missing the playoffs for the third consecutive year before the coronavirus outbreak caused the NHL's season to be suspended.
Despite the Blackhawks' continued struggles, chairman Rocky Wirtz doesn't envision any changes. Blackhawks president John McDonough, general manager Stan Bowman and coach Jeremy Colliton will each return for the 2020-'21 season, Wirtz told The Athletic.

"Oh yeah, absolutely," Wirtz said. "There’s not going to be any changes in the front office."

McDonough has been with the Blackhawks as team president since 2007, a tenure during which the the team has won three Stanley Cup championships. The Blackhawks made the playoffs for nine straight seasons from 2009-'17 before their recent rut.

Bowman was promoted to general manager by the Blackhawks in 2009, inheriting a roster that included stars like Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Duncan Keith. He then built three championship teams around that core.

Colliton was hired as coach in November 2018 after the Blackhawks fired Joel Quenneville. Colliton is 62-58-17 across parts of two seasons while leading the Blackhawks.

The NHL season has been suspended indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
