The first season of Sikura's new deal is an extension of his two-way deal ($700,000 NHL/$250,000 AHL) and turns into a one-way NHL deal worth $800,000 for 2020-'21. The 24-year-old Sikura had eight assists in 33 games for the Blackhawks last season. He also had 35 points (17 goals, 18 assists) in 46 games for the Rockford Icehogs of the AHL.
The Blackhawks acquired the 23-year-old Quenneville from the Devils in a trade last Saturday. He had one goal in 19 games for New Jersey this past season. He also had 39 points (18 goals, 21 assists) in 37 games for the Binghamton Devils of the AHL.
Quenneville's deal mirrors Sikura's, as it's an extension of his two-way deal ($700,000 NHL/$250,000 AHL) in the first season before transitioning into a one-way NHL day worth $800,000 for 2020-'21.
