(670 The Score) It's growing increasingly likely that Bulls guard Kris Dunn will miss the remainder of the season.

Dunn will continue to rehab the MCL sprain in his right knee for another four to six weeks, the team announced Wednesday. He will then progress to functional training, after which a determination will be made if additional treatment is needed, the Bulls said.

That timeline will keep Dunn out until at least late March in the best-case scenario, given that he'd still need to ramp up to game shape after if he was cleared for full basketball activities. The Bulls' regular season ends on April 15, meaning Dunn is probably going to be sidelined for all of the team's final 27 games.

Dunn was averaging 7.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 51 games, including 32 starts, before he was hurt when teammate Thad Young landed awkwardly on his knee after Young went to take a charge in the first minute of a game against the Nets on Jan. 29.

Dunn is set to enter restricted free agency this summer, so the Bulls will have matching rights to retain him once they make the qualifying offer.
