(670 The Score) The Bulls' new front office has plenty to think about regarding coach Jim Boylen's future.
Bulls ownership and advisor John Paxson prefer to retain Boylen moving forward, the Sun-Times reported Friday afternoon, but new executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas will hold full authority on the decision, as he was promised when hired. Karnisovas and new general manager Marc Eversley are "leaning" toward parting ways with Boylen and hiring their own coach, the Sun-Times reported.

Part of that thinking is because Karnisovas and Eversley have received a "mixed bag of feedback" regarding Boylen from Bulls players, the Sun-Times reported. The Bulls aren't expected to reveal a decision on Boylen's future until the NBA announces the status of the rest of the currently suspended season.

Boylen is 39-84 since taking over as Bulls coach in December 2018. His .317 winning percentage is the second-worst of any coach in franchise history.

"I'm going to do my comprehensive evaluation of every department and ensure I give time," Karnisovas said in mid-April after the Bulls hired him. "Because as we all know, we're limited right now to what we can do. Instead of being in the practice facility and being in Chicago, we are at home and we are on an audio call. It makes it difficult.

"For now, we're going to be evaluating, communicating and seeing how I can help them."
