(670 The Score) Despite pacing for a career year, Bulls guard Zach LaVine hasn't done enough to be voted an All-Star.

LaVine wasn't among the seven players named as Eastern Conference reserves Thursday evening following a voting process in which ballots were cast by the league's coaches. That news came after the All-Star starters were named a week prior in a voting process that included fans, players and media members.

Heat forward Jimmy Butler, Raptors guard Kyle Lowry, 76ers guard Ben Simmons, Bucks forward Khris Middleton, Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, Heat big man Bam Adebayo and Pacers big man Domantas Sabonis were named the All-Star reserves in the East.

Missing out on the honor is a disappointment for LaVine, who on multiple occasions spoke of his desire to represent the Bulls as the All-Star Game is set to be played at the United Center on Feb. 16.

LaVine, 24, is averaging a career-high 25.1 points along with 4.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.4 steals in 34.4 minutes across 50 games. His scoring average ranks 12th in the NBA and fourth in the East. LaVine is shooting 44.0% overall and 38.0% on 3-pointers.

There remains one last-chance path for LaVine becoming an All-Star. Should anyone pull out of the game because of injury, commissioner Adam Silver is tasked with naming a replacement. LaVine would be a candidate in such a scenario.
