The deal will be worth just more than $13 million, according to reports.
Daniel, 33, was the Bears' backup quarterback behind Mitchell Trubisky for the past two seasons. He started three games for the Bears, including a win over the Lions on Thanksgiving Day in Detroit in 2018.
Daniel has played in 65 games during his 11-year NFL career, starting five times. He has completed 68.3 percent of his passes for 1,430 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions in his career.
The Bears are seeking to add quarterback competition for Trubisky this offseason. While in Chicago, Daniel served as a clear backup to Trubisky and was credited as being a key part of Trubisky's support system.
With Daniel moving on from the Bears -- and Tyler Bray perhaps leaving too -- Trubisky should soon have true competition at quarterback.
