LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- Bears receiver Taylor Gabriel and tight end Ben Braunecker remain in the concussion protocol three days ahead of a matchup against the Cowboys at Soldier Field on Thursday.

Their statuses haven't changed, coach Matt Nagy said, after each missed the Bears' win against the Lions last Thursday. The Bears will issue their first injury report of the week after practice at Halas Hall on Monday.

Gabriel and Braunecker each self-reported concussion symptoms after the Bears' win over the Giants on Nov. 24 and haven't practiced since. Neither traveled to Detroit last week.

Should the Bears be without Gabriel and Braunecker again, Javon Wims would step in at receiver while Jesper Horsted would again be the top "U" tight end.

The Bears (6-6) and Cowboys (6-6) kick off at 7:20 p.m. Thursday at Soldier Field.
