(670 The Score) The Bears on Tuesday placed offensive tackle T.J. Clemmings on injured reserve, and the team expects he will miss the entire 2019 season.

Clemmings, 27, suffered a serious injury to his quad during a preseason win against the Colts in Indianapolis on Saturday. He was in contention for a role as the Bears' swing tackle this season.

Clemmings spent this offseason recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered during last season. He opened the preseason on the physically-unable-to-perform list before working his way back to health.

A four-year NFL veteran, Clemmings has played in 41 career games. The Bears have moved rookie Alex Bars into work at left tackle in place of the injured Clemmings.
