Seabrook is expected to be ready to return in five to six months after he underwent successful surgery on his right hip Thursday, the Blackhawks announced. That procedure followed surgeries on his left hip in January and right shoulder in December. That timeline would mean he's ready for the start of training camp next season.
The Blackhawks shut down Seabrook in December after he privately struggled with health through 32 games this season.
A first-round pick to the Blackhawks in 2003, the 34-year-old Seabrook has played 15 seasons and 1,114 games with Chicago. He's under contract with the team through the 2023-'24 season.
