(670 The Score) Cubs reliever Carl Edwards Jr. is headed back to Triple-A Iowa once again.

The Cubs have demoted Edwards after another rough outing Sunday, they announced Monday evening. The move comes after Edwards allowed one run on one hit and one walk while recording one out in a 5-1 loss to the Padres on Sunday.

The Cubs had just activated Edwards on Friday after he'd missed more than five weeks with a a left thoracic strain. Edwards has a 5.87 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 20 appearances this season.

The cubs recalled reliever Rowan Wick from Triple-A Iowa in a corresponding move. He posted a 3.86 ERA in five appearances across three stints with the Cubs earlier this year.
