A physical must be completed to execute the contract, but the Rams acknowledged the addition Wednesday night. Floyd, 27, will make $10 million in base salary, ESPN reported.
The Bears released Floyd after reaching a five-year, $70-million deal with veteran pass rusher Robert Quinn in free agency. The No. 9 overall pick in 2016, Floyd had seven sacks in his rookie season but just 11.5 sacks combined in the following three years. By comparison, Quinn had 11.5 sacks in 2019.
In releasing Floyd, the Bears cleared the $13.222 million that he was owed for 2020.
Floyd will reunite with former Bears outside linebackers coach Brandon Staley, who's now the Rams' defensive coordinator.
