(670 The Score) The NFL is set for a virtual draft in late April, a decision that was reached after the league held internal conversations about the best practices during the coronavirus pandemic.

Mike Florio of NBC Sports and Pro Football Talk believes the NFL got its decision right to prevent teams from gathering during the draft, with the focus on preventing the spread of the coronavirus outbreak.

"(The NFL) got so far over their skis on this last week when they announced that teams that teams would be able to gathering groups to up to 10, and then questions started to emerge about the many states that have stay-at-home orders," Florio said on the Mully & Haugh Show on 670 The Score on Tuesday morning. "The NFL finally got it right. They're doing the right thing here. It sets a good example for anyone else who may be tempted to disregard local stay-at-home orders. They can do this from home.

"It's going to be different, but everything is different for everyone. And ultimately the league doesn't care because it's the same rules for all 32 teams, and the draft is already a crapshoot anyway. It's not like you're disrupting some careful, delicate procedure like defusing a bomb. The bombs blow up in teams' faces all the time when they squander these draft picks."

The NFL Draft will be held April 23-25.
