Bears offensive coordinator Bill Lazor, defensive coordinator Sean Desai and special teams coordinator Chris Tabor have each been isolated away from Halas Hall, coach Matt Nagy said Thursday. Nagy declined to share details on whether the three tested positive or what type of symptoms they're experiencing.

As of Thursday, it was unclear whether Lazor, Desai and/or Tabor could be cleared to return when the Bears (4-9) host the Vikings (6-7) on Monday night, Nagy said. The Bears also have six players on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

"Obviously, this is not just a Chicago Bears thing," Nagy said.

Lazor, Desai and Tabor will each participate with the Bears virtually but won't be present with the Bears until being cleared.

The Bears adjusted their schedule Thursday to accommodate the protocols and will perhaps continue to do so in the coming days. The team will hold a walk-through Thursday afternoon before holding meetings virtually rather than in-person at Halas Hall. The Bears are uncertain on whether they'll hold a live practice Friday, Nagy said.

The Bears also have several players who are away from Halas Hall due to non-COVID illnesses, Nagy said. He declined to reveal how many are absent.

The Bears entered intensive protocols this week, which requires mandatory masks within the team facility. Nagy indicated the team's additional protocols weren't mandated by the league.
