(BetMGM) The Chicago Bears are commanding 12.5% of the BetMGM handle to win the NFC North.

That represents the 19th-highest handle share among all teams within their respective divisions and is a few percentage points higher than the Bears' share at this point last year. As of Monday, the Bears are tied with the Vikings for the second-shortest odds to win the division.

The Bears’ 12.5% handle share for the NFC North ranks a distant second to the Detroit Lions' 71.1%. That disparity speaks to bettors’ offseason obsession with the Lions to snap a 27-year division title drought.

Bears in 2022

Two days before the 2022 NFL season started, the Bears' handle share of 4.6% ranked last in the division by a mile and 28th among all NFL teams within their own division.

At +1100 odds (after opening at +650 and slowly declining throughout the offseason), the Bears were one of the least-bet teams entering the 2022 season.
