LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- The Bears on Tuesday activated safety Eddie Jackson from the non-football injury list, returning him to practice at Halas Hall.
Jackson opened training camp on the NFI list after suffering a hamstring injury while working out before reporting for the start of training camp. A two-time Pro Bowler, Jackson has 10 interceptions in 62 career games.
"Just watching my teammates compete, not being able to join them, just itching to be there," Jackson said. "That was the toughest one.
"I'm happy to be back, excited. Just ready to compete."
The Bears have dealt with a number of injuries in the secondary, including the absences of safety Tashaun Gipson (quad) and safety Deon Bush (undisclosed).
