LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- The Bears' COVID-19 outbreak has worsened, with six more players entering the league's protocols Thursday.

The Bears placed receiver Allen Robinson, safety Eddie Jackson, running back Ryan Nall, tight end Jesse James, linebacker Joel Iyiegbuniwe and practice squad receiver Isaiah Coulter on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The Bears now have 12 players in the virus protocols as well as offensive coordinator Bill Lazor, defensive coordinator Sean Desai and special teams coordinator Chris Tabor.
The Bears undertook precautionary measures Thursday by altering their typical schedule, shifting from a live practice to a walk-through and conducting meetings virtually. The team also held out eight players due to non-COVID-related illnesses.
This situation at Halas Hall comes as the virus has spread throughout the nation and forced the NFL to alter its own protocols Thursday.
"Obviously, this is not just a Chicago Bears thing," said coach Matt Nagy, who contracted the virus in late October. "This is throughout not just the league but the world."
In estimating their injury report for a full practice, the Bears listed linebacker Roquan Smith (hamstring) as a limited participant. Quarterback Justin Fields (left hand) and defensive lineman Akiem Hicks (ankle) were listed as full participants. Offensive tackle Jason Peters (high ankle sprain) didn't participate.
The Bears (4-9) haven't decided their course of action for practice for the rest of this week. They host the Vikings (6-7) on Monday night at Soldier Field.
