Bears' Allen Robinson doubtful, Cody Whitehair out against Saints

Robinson suffered a concussion against in a loss to the Rams on Monday.

(670 The Score) Bears top receiver Allen Robinson is officially listed as doubtful to play against the Saints on Sunday as he remains in the concussion protocol and didn't practice this week.

The Bears initially listed Robinson as questionable before revising his status to doubtful, a requirement set by the concussion protocol for players held out of practice during the week.

If Robinson is cleared from the concussion protocol prior to the Bears declaring their inactives 90 minutes before the game, he would be able to play. Robinson is the Bears' leading receiver with 44 catches for 544 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bears also listed star pass rusher Khalil Mack (ankle), safety Eddie Jackson (knee), running back Cordarrelle Patterson (quad) and safety Sherrick McManis (hamstring) as questionable. Mack practiced in a limited fashion Friday afternoon, a step forward after being held out of practice the previous two days. Jackson was a full participant in practice Friday after being limited Wednesday and Thursday.

Center Cody Whitehair (calf) has been ruled out. Sam Mustipher is expected to start in his place. Saints star receiver Michael Thomas (ankle/hamstring) was also ruled out for Sunday.

Kickoff between the Bears (5-2) and Saints (4-2) is scheduled for 3:25 p.m. CT from Soldier Field.
