Bears quarterback Caleb Williams named NFC Offensive Player of the Week

(670 The Score) Bears quarterback Caleb Williams on Wednesday was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week following his four-touchdown performance in Chicago's 31-14 win against Dallas on Sunday at Soldier Field.

Williams threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns in the victory. He's the first Bears quarterback to earn the honor since Justin Fields did so in 2022.

Williams' 142.6 passer rating was a career-best figure. He's the first Bears quarterback since Mitchell Trubisky in 2018 to throw four touchdown passes to four different receivers. On Sunday, Williams connected with Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, Cole Kmet and DJ Moore for scores.

The previous two NFC Offensive Player of the Week winners were Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy and Lions quarterback Jared Goff, who each accomplished that in beating the Bears.

The Bears (1-2) will take on the Raiders (1-2) on Sunday in Las Vegas.
