(670 The Score) The Bears could be down two defensive starters against the Browns on Sunday, with safety Tashaun Gipson (hamstring) doubtful to play and nose tackle Eddie Goldman (knee) listed as questionable.

Gipson suffered his hamstring injury in practice Wednesday, coach Matt Nagy told reporters at Halas Hall on Friday. After missing the Bears' first two games, Goldman is expected to be a game-time decision Sunday, Nagy said. Goldman didn't practice Friday after being a limited participant the previous two days.

As expected, the Bears ruled out quarterback Andy Dalton (knee). Rookie quarterback Justin Fields will make his first NFL start, while veteran Nick Foles will be active for the first time this season and serve as the backup.

Bears defensive lineman Akiem Hicks (illness/knee) was a full participant in practice Friday after missing the prior two days. He's expected to play Sunday. The Bears also listed receiver Darnell Mooney (groin) and receiver Marquise Goodwin (ankle) as questionable, though both players were full participants in practice Friday.

Safety Eddie Jackson (toe), defensive lineman Bilal Nichols (back) and pass rusher Jeremiah Attaochu (hamstring) are also questionable, though each should be able to play.

Browns star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) was a full participant in practice this week and is set to return to action for the first time since suffering a torn ACL in the 2020 season.

Kickoff between the Bears (1-1) and Browns (1-1) comes at noon CT Sunday from FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland.
