(670 The Score) Bears star pass rusher Khalil Mack is listed as questionable to play against the Texans on Sunday. He has been dealing with a shoulder injury this week.
Mack returned to the Bears' lighter practice Friday in a limited fashion after missing the previous two days. He has previously dealt with knee and back issues this season. Mack, 29, has 6.5 sacks but none since Nov. 1.
The Bears ruled out top nickel cornerback Buster Skrine, who remains in the concussion protocol. Rookie cornerback Kindle Vildor could assume Skrine's role in the defense.
Bears linebacker James Vaughters (knee) was also ruled out. Tight end J.P. Holtz (shoulder/knee) was listed as questionable.
The Bears had no new positive tests for COVID-19 on Friday after having four players test positive earlier in the week.
The Bears (5-7) and Texans (4-8) kick off at noon Sunday from Soldier Field.
