(670 The Score) The Bears have named John DeFilippo their new passing game coordinator, adding that to his role as quarterbacks coach.

DeFilippo joined the Bears' staff in January 2020 after spending the previous two seasons as offensive coordinator of the Vikings (2018) and Jaguars (2019). He now replaces Dave Ragone, who shifted from being quarterbacks coach into the new passing game coordinator role in 2020. Ragone left the Bears this offseason to become the Falcons' new offensive coordinator.

DeFilippo, 42, has coached for 16 years in the NFL and 23 years in football. The Bears interviewed him for their head coaching position in January 2018 before hiring Matt Nagy into that position.
