(670 The Score) The Bears on Tuesday placed receiver Byron Pringle on injured reserve.
Pringle suffered the calf injury during the first quarter of the Bears' 23-20 win over the Texans on Sunday at Soldier Field. The 28-year-old Pringle has two receptions for 28 yards over three games this season. He missed the majority of training camp while dealing with a quad injury.
The Bears promoted linebacker Joe Thomas from the practice squad to replace Pringle's spot on the active roster. Thomas, 31, played 26 snaps at linebacker Sunday.
The Bears (2-1) visit the New York Giants (2-1) on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
