On Friday, Fields had been deemed questionable to play. He suffered the ankle injury during the Bears' loss to the Vikings last Monday night.
Veteran quarterback Nick Foles will start for the Bears as Andy Dalton (groin) is also inactive. Ryan Willis is the team's backup Sunday.
The Bears' inactives also included offensive tackle Jason Peters (ankle) cornerback Xavier Crawford (concussion), returner Jakeem Grant (concussion) and tackle Lachavious Simmons.
The Bears (4-10) and Seahawks (5-9) kick off at 3:05 p.m. CT from Seattle.
