(670 The Score) The Bears are still seeking more clarity on injuries to linebacker Roquan Smith (elbow) and receiver Darnell Mooney (ankle), coach Matt Nagy said Wednesday, four days before Chicago is set to play at New Orleans in the wild-card round.

Smith and Mooney wouldn't have been present Wednesday if the Bears held a full practice. The team instead held a walk-through, so injury designations were considered estimates. Nickel cornerback Buster Skrine (concussion) also remains sidelined, but the Bears did get a dose of better news. After missing the final three games of the regular season with a right shoulder injury, rookie cornerback Jaylon Johnson would've been a limited participant in a full practice.

Smith and Mooney each suffered injuries in a loss to the Packers on Sunday, leaving the game and not returning. Skrine has missed the last four contests due to his concussion.

Bears running back Cordarrelle Patterson was absent from practice due to a personal matter.

The Bears (8-8) and Saints (12-4) kick off at 3:40 p.m. CT on Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
