Bears rule out safety Jaquan Brisker (concussion) for game against Jaguars in London

(670 The Score) The Bears have ruled out safety Jaquan Brisker for their game against the Jaguars on Sunday in London, general manager Ryan Poles told reporters Wednesday.

Brisker didn't travel with the Bears to London late Monday after entering the NFL's concussion protocol. He reported symptoms of a concussion earlier Monday, one day after the Bears' 36-10 win over the Panthers.

The Bears are expected to turn to Elijah Hicks in Brisker's place at safety. In addition to Brisker, Chicago has ruled out defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin) and defensive back Terrell Smith (hip) for Sunday.

The Bears have also opened the 21-day window for pass rusher Jacob Martin (toe) to be activated off injured reserve, and he was a full participant in the team's work Wednesday. Cornerback Kyler Gordon (heel) and guard Teven Jenkins (ankle) were limited participants.

In another roster move, veteran tight end Tommy Sweeney was signed to the practice squad.

The Bears (3-2) and Jaguars (1-4) will kick off at 8:30 a.m. CT on Sunday from London.
