LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) — Bears kicker Cairo Santos will miss his second straight game Sunday due to a lingering right thigh injury in his kicking leg.
The Bears on Friday officially ruled out Santos for their game against the Saints on Sunday at Soldier Field. They'll once again turn to reserve kicker Jake Moody, who has been on their practice squad.
Moody made four of his five field-goal attempts in the the Bears’ 25-24 win over the Commanders on Monday, including a game-winning 38-yarder as time expired.
Despite Moody's strong performance, the Bears plan to turn back to Santos once he’s healthy, coach Ben Johnson said earlier in the week. Moody reverted back to the practice squad Tuesday following the first of three eligible elevations.
The Bears also ruled out linebacker Noah Sewell (concussion) for Sunday. Veteran defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (knee), running back D'Andre Swift (groin), defensive end Austin Booker (knee), running back Travis Homer (calf) and linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga (knee) are questionable to play.
The Bears (3-2) and Saints (1-5) will kick off at noon CT on Sunday from Soldier Field.
