LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) – The Bears selected South Carolina defensive tackle Zacch Pickens with the No. 64 overall pick in the third round of the NFL Draft on Friday evening.

The 6-foot-4, 291-pound Pickens started 32 games across four seasons for the Gamecocks, recording 131 total tackles and 7.5 sacks. Pickens had 2.5 sacks in 12 games for South Carolina in 2022.

"I'm ready to learn and grow," Pickens said. "I still haven't reached my potential yet.

"I'm ready to learn from everybody in the organization."

Pickens was the second defensive tackle whom the Bears selected Friday. Chicago took Florida defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. with the No. 53 overall pick in the second round.

The Bears also selected Miami cornerback Tyrique Stevenson with the No. 56 overall pick, which they acquired by trading No. 61 overall and a fifth-round selection to the Jaguars.

The Bears don’t hold any more picks Friday evening, barring a trade back into the third round. The fourth through seventh rounds will be held Saturday.
