(670 The Score) The Bears have signed wide receiver Damiere Byrd to a one-year deal, they announced Tuesday.
Byrd, 28, had 47 receptions for 604 yards with the Patriots last season. He has played five NFL seasons, including three with the Panthers from 2016-'18 and also one with the Cardinals in 2019.
In Byrd, the Bears are adding a speed element to their offense. The team also signed veteran receiver Marquise Goodwin in April and drafted receiver Dazz Newsome out of North Carolina in the sixth round on Saturday.
