Bears star pass rusher Montez Sweat is inactive against Cardinals

(670 The Score) Bears star pass rusher Montez Sweat is inactive for Chicago's game at Arizona on Sunday afternoon.

Sweat left Chicago's loss at Washington last Sunday with a shin injury. He sat out of the team's walkthrough Friday in order to rest the injury, but he wasn't deemed healthy enough to play prior to kickoff at State Farm Stadium on Sunday.

A Pro Bowl selection in 2023, Sweat has 3.5 sacks this season.

The Bears' other inactives are nickel cornerback Kyler Gordon (hamstring), safety Jaquan Brisker (concussion), left tackle Braxton Jones (knee), offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie (calf), running back Khalil Herbert and defensive tackle Byron Cowart.

Kickoff between the Bears (4-3) and Cardinals (4-4) comes at 3:05 p.m. CT on Sunday.
