(670 The Score) The Bears will re-sign veteran safety Tashaun Gipson on a one-year deal, ESPN reported Monday.

Gipson, 30, started all 16 games for the Bears in 2020, recording 66 tackles and two interceptions. A nine-year NFL veteran, he originally signed with Chicago last May.

Gipson projects to start alongside Eddie Jackson, which would mark the first time since 2018 that Jackson would play alongside an incumbent starting safety.
