LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- The Bears will start rookie quarterback Justin Fields in their preseason finale at the Tennessee Titans on Saturday evening, coach Matt Nagy said.
Fields is expected to play the first half, with the Bears planning to be "selective across the board" with which key players participate, Nagy said. Veteran quarterback Andy Dalton will rest Saturday as part of the Bears' plan for him to be the starter in their regular-season opener at the Los Angeles Rams on Sept. 12.
Fields has taken the majority of the quarterback snaps in the first two preseason games, including the entire second half of the Bears' 41-15 loss to the Bills at Soldier Field last Saturday. Dalton worked the entire first half of that game after playing just two series in Chicago's win against Miami in its preseason opener on Aug. 14.

Dalton, 33, is 13-of-21 for 164 yards, one touchdown and one interception during the preseason. The No. 11 overall pick in the NFL Draft, Fields is 23-of-39 for 222 passing yards and a touchdown while adding nine rushes for 79 yards and a running score.
The Bears intend to treat their exhibition finale Saturday like a traditional fourth preseason game, Nagy said. He was uncertain as to whether the Titans would play their starters.
